A Breeze House provides the ideal outdoor living setting to indulge in the changing seasons, whether that be taking a moment to yourself or spending time with your loved ones. @Danisdomain Breeze House holds a sentimental value, with a love that has been constantly cherished across generations in her family.

Earlier this summer, we spoke to Instagram home, interiors and lifestyle influencer Dani Sandels about her Mara Breeze House. Dani shares easy DIY hacks and home finds on her page, alongside her fun family life!

Why Breeze House?

“We were inspired to get our Breeze House by my Grandad, who used to have one years ago. His now lives at my parents’ house, it was relocated by Breeze Houses (which is a service they offer) and I’ve always loved it.

We decided to buy our own 2 years ago now, when we were spending summer at home in lockdown and it’s been such a fun addition for our family’s outdoor living.

Talk to us about styling…

We have one of the smaller Breeze Houses, a Mara. It’s the perfect size for our family (currently 4- soon to be 5!)

I chose to have it in a corner of our garden, surrounded by bushes as I really wanted ‘luxury in nature’ type feel. We planted 2 UK weather friendly palm trees near the Breeze House to ‘cocoon’ it and give it a bit of a holiday type feel.

I also added lots of pots with colourful flowers in around the sides of the Breeze House, at varying heights and hung some battery and solar powered festoon and fairy lights on the inside, and around the outside using self-adhesive hooks.

I’ve got a sheepskin throw and several cushions inside the Mara Breeze House, as well as a tablecloth which I change regulary for different looks and styling options. I usually have fresh flowers on the table and some candles (some real and some LED)

How do you use your Breeze House?

Our favourite uses for our Breeze House include ‘Fish & Chip Fridays’ with the kids, and little ‘date nights’ at home just Tom and I, with a few drinks.

I try to use different seasons to add extras, for example pumpkins at Halloween (we usually have hot dogs and sweets with the kids in there) and colourful fairy lights at Christmas. Also, I work from home and regularly catch up on emails with a coffee in ours as well, which is great for a change of scenery and a fresh ‘home office’.

What is your favourite Breeze House Feature?

A huge advantage for us are the side panels, which are clear so you still benefit from the surroundings but mean you can use the Breeze House all through the year – I especially love using it in the rain as it stays completely dry. The side panels are also super easy to roll up and open the Breeze House up too, which we love doing during summer when we have family or friends over.

We get so much use out of it all year round – and really make the most of it as an extension of our home.  It definitely has an extra special, magical feel to it and is a focal point in our garden.

We’ve already created so many happy memories in ours and can’t wait for many more to come – definitely a Breeze House passed down generations!”

Dani’s Mara Breeze House has been the heart of many seasonal and celebratory occasions, fondly loved by her family and passed down through the generations. It is a sentimental space in her much beloved garden – follow @Danisdomain on Instagram. Why not take a moment to craft those cherished, sentimental memories within a Breeze House today.
