Summer holiday fun

It’s the moment that causes children to jump for joy and parents to retreat in fear… Yep, the summer holidays are here! It may seem like a really long six weeks ahead, but if you’re lucky enough to have your very own Breeze House garden building, there is a huge variety of fun activities you can do with your little ones – whatever the weather.

That’s right! Summer so far has given us amazing weather, and a Breeze House provides perfect shade under its thatched or cedar shingle canopy. And should the weather turn into dramatic downpours, the canopy keep will also keep you safe and dry. Plus, if you’ve chosen our range of canvas panels, you can all sit snugly inside your Breeze House with no need to run indoors.

If you need a bit of inspiration when it comes to ways to keep the kids entertained at home, how about some of our Breeze House-based fun below…

Get arty:
Grab some paper, pencils and crayons and get your kids to get arty! Ask them to really study the flowers they can see from their seat in the Breeze House and draw them as best they can. Maybe teach them about the flowers too, and they can turn their art into a little factsheet to show summer guests.

Tell a tale:
If you have a flurry of butterflies, ladybirds or even cats and birds in your garden, get your children to turn their paper and drawings into a story! They can detail the adventures of the animals, give them names and characters and evolve their adventures throughout the summer. It will make a great memento of the holidays and a wonderful show-and-tell when they return to school.

Ditch the digital:
We are all guilty of spending too much time on our phones, in front of the TV, with a tablet or digital device in hand. The summer holidays are a great excuse to get back to “old school” ways and sit around the Breeze House table for some fantastic board game fun! Get competitive, breath in the fresh air and enjoy some real quality family time.

Al fresco dining:
What is it about eating outdoors which just makes it more fun? You don’t have to go all-out on a big barbecue feast (although that is always wonderful too) – you could have a little Breeze House Breakfast club and watch the garden come to life for the day whilst you devour your toast and jam. What better way to start the day?

If you have some fantastic fun activities you love to do in your Breeze House, let us know! And we can share it with the rest of the Breeze House owners. Happy summer holidays!
