Marine Boat House – Skegness
Brief
There was a number of challenging aspects to this project, firstly a 100 seater, shaded venue was needed. The design had to lend itself to a drinks area, dining area and provide a clear view of a large screen TV. The whole scheme was to be located in an existing terrace courtyard surrounded on all sides by high walls. There was a fire escape and two roofs that needed to be camouflaged and a cohesive tropical holiday feel was needed for the whole area. A four week deadline needed to be achieved to ensure the venue was up and running ready for the World Cup.
An Empire Breeze House formed the central focal feature of the final design and was able to comfortable house the TV screen. A variety of table and umbrella kits surrounded the building. Breeze House supplied thatch for the false roofs and Eucalyptus for the screening of a bottle store and fire escape.
Customer Comment
“I am delighted with the whole project, the planning, the product, the installation and most of all with the increase in business turnover during the summer, and the Marine is now fully fitted out and ready for the smoking ban next year.”
