COURT YARD Brief

To increase customer choice and to make use of an unused courtyard an attractive alfresco sheltered dining and function area, was needed, that would seat at least 20 people. The dining area had to have good quality furniture, be able to be used if it should rain, be attractive, fire retardant, comfortable and practical. Importantly it needed to be used by one large group or seat individual groups of people as necessary.

The Empire Breeze House with it’s waterproof, fire retardant thatch roof was the perfect solution. With café style furniture, drop down weather panels, robust furniture, comfortable cushions and 6KW heater it answered the brief perfectly. A fabulous alfresco function area was created giving an additional valuable outdoor dining space and offering the customer the choice of having their celebrations outdoors.

GARDEN PATIO Brief

For the garden patio area sheltered seating was required. The product needed to enhance the area and not detract from the yellow shades of the Cotswold stone buildings. The tables had to be strong and large enough to be used for dining as well as just drinks with seating for 6 people which had to be adaptable for wheel chair use. In this south facing position, protection from the sun was key and, to save on time, any umbrellas needed to be able to be left out overnight and during the winter.

The 6 seater thatched umbrella and table kits were ideal. Aesthetically the colours of the wood and the thatch complimented the mellow colours of Cotswold stone beautifully. The tables were heavy and robust, constructed from 45mm tanalised spruce. The thatched umbrellas are fire retardant and come with a powder coated metal post which was fitted into the ground with metal bolt plates. The 6 seater tables were adaptable for wheel chair use and the thatched umbrella brings welcome shade. The whole patio area was given a new lease of life with people sitting in the sheltered environment overlooking the landscaped gardens. The added advantage was that customers who wanted to smoke outside could sit in an attractive alfresco environment.
