





Coniston Hotel - Yorkshire
SMOKING SHELTER Brief
To comply with the new smoking regulations a smoking shelter was required. The building needed to fit a space 4.8m x 3.2m and seat at least 20 people. It needed to have two entrances, be heated and suitable to house a T.V. It was also important that the building was attractive as it was to be positioned by the front entrance of this majestic hotel set in a country estate in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales.
A bespoke oval building was designed with a cedar shingle roof. It measured 4.6m x 3m which fit the space perfectly. The building was installed in one day with little disruption to the business. The building was furnished with tables, seating, cushions and a 3KW heater creating an attractive smoking area ideally located adjacent to the lounge area of the hotel.
COURTYARD Brief
To enhance a courtyard and create a covered alfresco function area a sheltered building was required. It needed to be attractive as it was to be utilised for wedding receptions and seat at least 20 people. The building needed to be heated and offer a high level of comfort.
The Empire Breeze House was ideal for this location, it fitted snugly into a corner of the courtyard and looked superb set against the stone of the hotel. The Empire was installed, in one day, with individual tables and seating to comfortably accommodated 24 people. Cushions drop-down weather panels and heaters were all added for the comfort of customers.
